I began this piece on the winter solstice, the longest night of the year. I imagined it being composed entirely of black and gray, but as the days lengthened, more color was called for. This series draws its name from mathematics and Chaos Theory. An “attractor” is that which pulls you toward it. “Strange” attractors have a fractal structure, a repeating pattern at all dimensions. |
