Chaos is the word that best describes the lives of the Syrian refugee children who drew the pictures incorporated into this piece. These children have lost their childhoods. They have seen brutality and murder up close and personal. They have lost their sense of security, their homes, their families, and their friends. I have composed this piece using the children`s artwork, stripped raw, with scars and tatters, and hanging threads. I feel their pain, and I also hope and pray will be the next day better. |
